Decathlon

Great place to shop. The staff are easy to talk to and are really helpful. They take their time to explain any problems and how to solve them. For example, I got a new bike a few weeks ago and the bike is amazing fits me perfectly and for what I need it for. I took it in for a check up and the back wheel is buckled a little but lindsey was very helpful to solve the problem and explained she will order a new part if it happens again. Thank you for the help.

It was my first ever visit to a Decathlon store and I would 100% return. There was a great selection of stock to choose from. The store was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly, especially Claudia. She was very attentive, polite and helpful. She answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. I came back to the till with my mum to purchase more clothing and Claudia jumped back on the till to assist, even though her shift had ended. She really went above and beyond with her customer service and deserves the recognition. It was a stress free visit and myself and my mum came away with some lovely products. Thank you

Rude and unhelpful staff. Ordered an item for collection as their website said it was in stock. Arrived at the store the next day to collect and was told it had instead been ordered. The staff then confirmed the item was in stock at the store, so I could pay again for the item then call back the next day and cancel the order (or make the journey again the next day to collect the delivery of the item that was already in stock). I instead asked to cancel the order as I was able to collect from another nearby store, and was told this was done and I’d receive a refund. A week later I was emailed a receipt and told I had collected the item (despite not going back to the store due to the poor experience with a rude manager). The collection time I was told was actually four hours later than it currently was, and I have been refused a refund whilst an investigation happens. In the meantime they have sent me a return label to take an item back to the store I have not collected. Awful experience which could have been avoided if the staff decided to take the time to still help people their entire shift and not be rude 30 minutes before closing.

Firstly Decathalon products are amazing, but I was really disappointed when we went to Bolton to look at kids bikes, and/or carrier options, no real experts around willing to help on bike carriers for kids, and none to try. All the test bikes were poorly setup, my kid tried a test bike only to find the brakes didn't work so he hit a wall, this bike "ready to ride"?? erm where's the peddles? Don't lose the expert touch as that's Halfords bike territory and service.
